Girls Camp 2009 "Hero's of Light"

I'm so far behind "AGAIN"

July 14-17 - Cinnamon Creek Camp

If you recall I was called to be the YW camp director. After getting it all put together (well some) most was done by the Stake and they did an awesome job. After all the stress and sleepless nights to get it all ready, the camp was so worth it. I have never been with a bunch of girls that were more fun than these ladies. I must even say with so many girls we never had any drama, tears (except perhaps at Testimony meeting) or any accidents. We had a huge tent that I managed to fit all 16 girls in, at first they were a little apprehensive about it but it all worked out and I know those girls loved being together. The experience was so amazing, I loved every minute of it and I can't wait for next year. Watch out ladies we might do something crazy!!!
Our Hike to the Mine

myself and Alesha, Young Womens President, she just got done whooping me in sumo wrestling.

Sumo Wrestling in our Olympic events

Our Skit! I think it was about Hannah Montana if I remember correctly

Our group at the Mine

Tug a war on the hike, they had 7 pitstops along the hike to stop and do tasks, most were done for certification (good idea)

Craft time! They made scrapbooks, had wood crafts to paint, the stake went to a lot of work!

Brrrrr Lake

July 4, 2009

Every year on the 4th of July my family always get's together at some water place. It was decided we would head to Riverdale in Preston for the party. This was until we found out that people were getting some type of eye fungus there so we opted not to go. Instead we landed our self a spot at Bear Lake and rented a boat for a day.

It was a lot of fun. Huntyr is so scared of water so I thought this might be good we can all go as a family and his cousins will be there playing surely he will want to get in the water. Not a chance! He stayed out of the water clear until the last 30 minutes of the day when we were getting ready to leave then he would wade around in the shallow part. I tried my best, I couldn't get him on the boat with me, in the water on a tube or just in the water with me holding him. I hope soon he gets out of the scary stage..any one have ideas on how to overcome this? We have done swimming lessons and he was fine then. I guess I'll have to put him back in them.

Family on what little beach was there. The water is so high there wasn't much sand. Mom Dad, Tyler and his little girl BrylieAnn

Fireworks with a little technical difficulty.

July 3, 2009

I love the 4th of Julyweekend, its always filled with so many people, food and fun. Every year we spend the fireworks at my in-laws they always have the entire family over including my own family and we just eat, visit, eat, watch the fireworks and did I mention eat.

I loved it this year especially when Al Lewis the local radio man was giving us a play by play of the technical difficutly that Fireworks West was having with getting the show on the road. Once it started it was good. Huntyr wasn't much for liking them but a little daddy love and he was all better.

Kandi making sure all the kiddo's get a sparkler
Huntyr wasn't too sure but finally got him to hold one, barely
