Back at the Barnyard

Today happened to be one of my days I work from home. Huntyr woke up from his nap and I still had about 40 minutes left of the work day. I asked him if we could just turn on some cartoons until mommy got done working, he said "yeah" All of the sudden it got really quiet I scooted my chair out to peek at him in the other room and I saw him intently watching the animals on Back at the Barnyard.

After he saw the flash it was all over and he wanted to say "Cheese"

Update in the house of Crazy

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone even read these???

It has been one heck of a crazy week. Last week I was completely consumed by preparing for a talk. That's right Josh and I had to speak in Church on Sunday. It completely took over my world. Josh worked all week long until way passed dark on the house (shame, shame).

He is busting his little butt to get this house done but its Wednesday night and I think he is 99% done with the plumbing after working for a week and 1/2 on it. This only means he will start on the electical and the heating the rest of the week.

The weekend was busy but good. We took a little trip to Riverdale Resort over the weekend, it was fun to get away and have a little fun. Josh was working on the house and arrived later to meet us. Funny Huntyr didn't want to even get in the water until "daddy" came oh and then he was all about swimming around.

I'll post pictures as soon as I get some more taken, promise.

Until later everyone be safe and enjoy the summer heat (boy doesn't that sound like a year book signing)

Father's Day

Father's Day 2008
It was Josh's day, we had a really nice time. Huntyr got him a wallet and I put together a really nice DVD of pictures of Huntyr and Josh together set to some of Josh's songs he likes, like Gary Allen (tough little boys), Rodney Atkins (Watching You) and Kenny Chesney (Young). It was a big hit, He loved it and I think Huntyr even loved it, he would watch the video and then say "daee" (daddy) and Huntyr, he refers to himself in 3rd person, I love it.

We went to Josh's dad for lunch and all the kids played in the sprinkler, Huntyr had never done that before, he was having the best time.

Getting a little braver and stepping a little closer to the water
He would get wet and then come running over to me saying "thad funny, water"

That diaper is getting a little more soggy from the water :)

More house I know

This is my life right now so its the only thing I can post :)

I went up last night to check on the progress and the roof is on and will actually be sheeted today. My brother is doing an awesome job getting this done. Kudos to him and his team. It is such hard labor to build houses.

Walls are almost up in the house
Front View of the house
Couldn't resist the wrangler bum!!
My awesome view out the back of the house, this is looking out the kitchen window off the deck
Back of the garage

This is what they got done the day after framing (the first pictures) They are fast!!
Huntyr and Josh on the Deck
Back of the house, covered deck and patio - We didn't realize the patio was covered until last week. When Josh found out he was so excited (more room to store crap)

I DID IT!!!!!!!

Little Red Riding Hood 2008 (June 7)
I did it, after many months of trying to get ready, my first real biking tour was here. I rode 80 miles in one day in the Little Red Riding Hood bike tour. Its a women's only which helps raise money for breast cancer. In all 2,200 riders were there and believe me, there was a lot of women.

Here is a map of the 80 miles we took. We Started in Wellsville road through, Mendon, Cache Junction, Newton, Clarkston, Cornish, Lewiston (where they served us lunch), Trenton, Newton, Benson, Logan, Mendon and then ended back in Wellsville.

8:00 am the start of the ride, check out all those bikers
Like I said 2,200 riders, from all over the United States
This is Laura, her husband works with me at Thermo. We met for the first time here and rode together until Lewiston and from there she rode home to Preston
Little Red Riding hood her (him) self :)

They had a big lunch in Lewiston for the 80 mile course. My Mom, Huntyr and Josh met me there and ate lunch with me. The weather was a little cold & rainy through out the ride, so when I wasn't riding I was really cold. The sun happened to come out for a minute so I soaked up as much as I could wrapped in a blanket.

This is my sign tht Kandi and Rogers made for me. I rode past their house on my way back, Kandi was sitting out on her lawn waiting for me and when I came by she had it out just a waving it. It was nice to have so much support through out the race.
I MADE IT!!! At 5:30 I came riding in, this was the end. I was so emotional that when I finished and saw everyone there waiting for me, all I could do was just cry in excitment, I was so proud of myself for making it, there were times when I didn't think I could go any farther.
My best boys were waiting for me at the end, Josh and Huntyr were there along with my in-laws and sister in-law. Thanks to Josh and Huntyr for all there support for this ride. I couldn't have made it without you boys. I love you both very much!!!

Hogle Zoo

Saturday, May 31
We all (the ward family) headed to the zoo. I think Huntyr liked being outside all day, he is such an outside baby. He wasn't sure about the elephants and rhino's but other than that he loved it. We even bought him a cute little hat to bring home. It was such a nice day I worried about him getting sun burned so the little hat helped keep the sun off.

Standing in line to see the white alligator, Josh, Huntyr & Tyson all concentrating on seeing him,

He was let loose from his stroller and all he wanted to do was run

The train ride was the best, the entire ride, Huntyr was saying "choo choo", "choo choo"
