Holiday Happenings

We have had a very happening Christmas. I hope everyone else has as well. We started our festivities at the Nyman's on Christmas Eve, where we always have a faboulous dinner. Cornish game hens are not to be messed with they are one of the things I look forward to the most at Christmas. They are these perfect little birds that you cook and everyone gets their own, not to mention all the other trimmings. Thanks John and Joann for always having us there.

Just to let you all in on a little secret, Josh loves Christmas he gets so excited that he can't even sleep the night before (I love it also but being older I can sleep) anyway he always wants to get up early (5:30am) before we had Huntyr I was always like his mother telling him we had to at least wait until 6:00. Now that we have Huntyr we get up when he gets up which was like 7:30 this year (hurray), that didn't stop Josh from getting up at 6:30 and waiting around. I loved how excited both Huntyr, and Josh were this year. Huntyr was so excited he opened all our gifts including mine and Josh's, but who cares, isn't that what its all about? Josh always cooks us a nice breakfast, this year it was my favorite, French toast. We then always head to my mom's which I love, I wish I could spend the entire time there, all my family comes over, all my brothers and my sister and all the kids. I love to be there and listen to the 50 different conversations going on, just fills like home. We always head over to the Nyman's last. They give each of the kids a 1/2 of beef which is an extremely nice gift, Huntyr got his first gun so he will be ready to shoot the deer...quick story...Huntyr and I were sitting at home the other night and we tend to have lots of deer in our backyard, one night we looked out and there they were so I let Huntyr sit on the kitchen table and check them out, as he was watching them he turnes to me so serious and says "mom, get my gun so i can shoot them" what the heck, he doesn't even have a gun. I told this to his Grandpa Nyman and this would have probably been the reason for the toy gun, so now he can shoot the deer. I tell ya, he is a funny kid!.

We have had a nice Holiday, Josh and I were able to take this week off so we have been pleny busy with playing around. Stay tuned for our other adventures this week.

Happy New Year!

It sounds like you guys had quite the Christmas. I'm jealous of the 1/2 of beef and the cornish game hens. I completely agree about the 'noise' feeling like home when everyone gets together. Wouldn't be home without it!
