My New love for Winter

January 1, 2010

A few years ago Josh took up ice fishing and I can't even begin to describe how dang fun it is. Now most of you would think brrrr it would be so cold out, which it is but when you have an ice tent and a heater inside its the best ever. New years day Huntyr's Day Care, Gina Denton (love her) offered to take him this day so Josh and I dropped him off bright and early and off we went. We ended up in Deep Creek and between the two of us we caught 10 fish. The best part was it was snowing like crazy, and there were a few guys about 20 yards away 6 or so all cramed in 1 tent. At lunch Josh wipped out the grill and cooked us cheeseburgers, not long after the grill was going, those other guys packed up and they were gone. I'm sure they were hungry with the smell of our burgers out on the grill.

Josh purchased me a year fishing license so I am good to go as long as there is ice.

One of the fish that didn't get away, a few I pulled up but then got off the hook and slid back down the hole.

Christmas Nyman Style

Dec 25, 2009

Our morning began 6:00am I have two boys that could not stand the anticipation any longer and had to see if Santa had come... He came and in a big way. He brought Huntyr ever toy known to man, and brought Josh what could have only been the entire Cabela's Store. I however, wasn't left out I got an Ipod Touch and many other things.

But... With much sadness shortly after the presents were opened and there was a lull at thy Nyman's for excitment Huntyr decided he wanted to come down with the 12 hour flu, he didn't stop all day until that night :( Its okay next year will be rockin.

Our Family Tradition

Dec 19,2009
I'm yet again a little behind. It is my little families tradition to head to Salt Lake for a day of play and see the lights. This time we thought it would be fun if we took the train to SL. Huntyr has been so into trains lately he loved the idea. We drove to Odgen loaded onto the Frontrunner and then headed to SL. Once we got there we just rode the trax where ever we needed to go. Which included clear to Sandy to eat at Joe's Crab Shack. I love seafood so it was a good move for us.

It was a very long day but so fun and very exciting for Huntyr. We did manage to find a Santa at the Gateway. Never knew that Santa was missing so many teeth :). He was nice though and was very sweet to Huntyr so I guess that is all that matters. We ended up letting Huntyr play at the Discovery Gateway Center which was fun to watch him get all excited over all the fun things to see and do.

At Dark we made it to Temple Square, my most favorite part is the Nativity that they have set up outside with the story they tell. Its such a great feeling of peace when you are on those grounds.

A kitchen all his size, he made Josh and I carrot soup as he called it, yummy!

Waiting for the Train in Sandy, brrr its cold!

There were so many people yet it was so peaceful

The ride home, and we are sooo tired.
